I’m here to tell you that self-care doesn’t need to be difficult or even time-consuming. Just like you, I’m always on the go and don’t always have hours to devote to DIY spa days.

You may be thinking, “Fun? Who has the time?” Well, my friends, we need to make the time. And here’s why…
Indulging in fun activities is about more than just having a good time. When we engage in activities we enjoy, we allow ourselves to relax, unwind, and recharge.
It could be anything from reading a book, playing a video game, dancing around your living room, hiking, cooking, or even something as simple as watching your favorite movie or TV show.
Doing things that bring us joy reduces stress, boosts our mood, and improves our mental well-being. It helps us break free from daily life and provides a healthy escape from our worries.
Furthermore, fun activities stimulate creativity, enhance problem-solving skills, and improve productivity. It’s like hitting the refresh button on our lives.
#2: Get Moving
Exercise is the golden ticket to feeling fabulous. I can personally tell a huge difference in my mental health when I work out.
Physical activities aren’t just about building muscles or losing weight… they’re also an excellent way to reduce stress, improve sleep, boost your mood, and even increase energy levels.
And guess what? You don’t have to grind away for hours in a gym (unless that’s your thing)… getting started can be as easy as a walk in the park.
Dance like no one’s watching. Join a yoga class or try out a beginner-friendly workout video on YouTube. Try different things and find something that you enjoy doing.

Remember that phone screen we just talked about? Well, reducing screen time in general makes your life better!

Let’s not say we should eliminate it completely, but start by setting daily limits. You just might surprise yourself with how much extra time you have!
Start by putting the phone away for small periods… maybe during dinner or an hour before bedtime. Trust me, it can be liberating!

So, how do we do it? Let’s break it down.
- Find a Quiet and Comfortable Spot: The first thing to do is find a quiet and comfortable spot where you won’t be disturbed.
- Set a Timer: Decide on the length of your meditation session. Beginners can start with 5-10 minutes and gradually increase the time.
- Sit Comfortably: Sit comfortably with your back straight. You can sit on a meditation cushion, chair, or even on your bed.
- Close Your Eyes and Breathe: Close your eyes and start by taking a deep breath. Inhale slowly through your nose, hold for a few seconds, and exhale through your mouth.
